Chances are a new GM will want a manager with whom he has had a previous relationship and track history together at some point. Then that manager and newly hired coaches will have to learn the players. I think Manso did a very good job after Elias gutted the team of practically all the veterans, especially Laureano and O'Hearn. Maybe Mansolino and his coaches will eventually be given the same vote of confidence that apparently Elias was given by Rubenstein and the ownership group, even after so many stumbles by Elias last off season. Manso will definitely be working for some team next season .
Listening to Manso’s talk after the game yesterday was eye opening. I thought he was finally honest about the struggles of the hitting and especially Povich. Saying the offense is not good enough. That the players need to be better. That Povich (that day’s starter) needs to pitch better to stay with the club. I don’t think he was finger pointing, more along the line of finally acknowledging the young players need to have accountability and improve. I’m 50-50 on bringing him back. I don’t care who it is as long as the team plays better next year.
I would only vote for Mansolino if he agreed to fire all the hitting related coaches, which I doubt he would do. Much prefer new manager with his pick of new coaches.
Take 2 out of 3 boys. Go Birds

I really hope they give Manso another shot at managing next year. He's done a solid job with all the injuries this year. Go Birds.
