Quick bat, short stroke for Beavers. A rocket double to right at 105.2 off the bat.

I told the usher coming into the park today that if they got 5 innings and 2 runs out of Bradish, they'd probably take it and run with it. Velo has fallen a bit but he has fanned nine over five innings on 72 pitches. He threw 89 in his last AAA game.

Not a fan of hitting for Beavers here.

Brutal inning. Machin too slow and casual on a ball that should have been an easy DP and then Beavers missed a fly ball in LF. Holy heck.

Per MLB.com ----

Tonight, #Orioles have 21-year-old Samuel Basallo at 1st and 21-year-old Jackson Holliday at 2nd.

It's the 1st time they've started 2 infielders younger than 22 in the same game since April 9, 1959, when Brooks Robinson (21) started at 3rd and Ron Hansen (21) started at short.

Trey Gibson gave up 7 runs in 3 IP tonight at AAA. That is the most surprising stat I've seen tonight.

Mayo squared that ball up but it was caught. Is now 6-for-50 with 24 strikeouts since Aug. 8. Keep giving him ABs but he's got to pull out of this and prove he can be a key part of the 2026 roster.

Question Steve: you wrote above that Holliday needs to work out of his funk. That Holliday will learn by playing. The comment about Mayo has you saying Mayo needs to prove himself. Over the last 30 games Holliday and Mayo have very similar numbers. Honest question, I’m not trying to be difficult or sarcastic - what do you see that separates the two players and gives one more leeway than the other? Attitude? Defense? Plate approach? (Holliday is a 1-1 but both need to perform).

I think if Jackson fell under a .200 batting avg for the year I might feel the same about him. Both need to perform but I mean 6-for-50. But Jackson is hitting under .200 this month so criticism is fair.

Interesting that Felix never reached his previous velocity and Bradish exceeded his in his first inning back. Of course Felix had a ways to go to get 100 or 101 mph.

The shoulder may have been less than 100 percent by the time he took the mlb mound as well. May have inured it in rehab and then aggravated it by continuing to pitch

Another terrible call by the ump. Cannot get the electronic strike zone soon enough. Gunnar called out on a pitch that was not that close

Positive- Bradish Bradish Bradish. And a little Big Sam at 1st. The rest was typical ‘25 Os, *sigh*

A typical Os game when the starter gives you a great game. No offense and poor defense
