Kinda wish he just let Akin stay in. Sure at 17 pitches, but let him go to 25 and get out of this inning. He would be unavailable tomorrow but you need to get this game. He could throw 25.

With the righty hitters coming up, I think that was the right move.

Sugano had just an 18 percent whiff rate on his splitter this year that was 75 percent tonight as he got 9 whiffs on 12 swings. Excellent.

There may be 25-K here tonight. More than I figured.

I hope they are all taking advantage of the low subscription rates.

Ends 7 straight games scoring 3 or less. Most since 9 on April 19 vs. Cincy. Been a minute.

So of course the pitcher that averages 2.9 K/9 has fanned 3 in the first 2 innings vs. the highest scoring team in the AL!

Hold on with everything you've got - top of the ninth!

That rally means it's going to be Felix vs. top of the order in the 9th. Maybe they can add on 1 or 2 runs here.

Now that I get actual data on my stories, it is interesting that the GB gets read a lot AFTER the game. That is one reason why comments are so low. Many people come here, after the game. Don't know how to fix that part.

See, who needs a RISP!

He said to no one in particular - Yankees said let them get RISP and we have them right where we want them. 2nd and 3rd, 0 outs and 0 runs. Yikes.

That's a team not comfortable and really pressing. Too bad a couple of runs would have relaxed all.

26 pitches to get out of that jam. Yankees rank first in AL in RISP - OPS, but stranded three there.

O's just made these roster moves right before game time.

They placed Jordan Westburg (hamstring) and Gary Sanchez (right wrist inflamnation) on IL and added to roster Maverick Handley and Emmanuel Rivera. Moved to 60-day IL Grayson Rodriguez and Colton Cowser.
