Steve, honest question as I don’t know enough about possible callups: With your knowledge of the minors…is there anyone else to be called up to fill in a SS? Or is Vasquez, all of 1 hit ever in MLB, being given extra time? He seems a decent fielder but rather light hitting.
Damn fine win there Birdland!
Scott Blewett and Ramon Urias were the heroes, just as we figured!
Dang fine win Birdland.
Yankees were 12-3 in Fried's starts. He had allowed 2 ER or less in 14 of 15 games.
O's did not start Gunnar, Adley, Ced and Cowser.
And they won. In the Bronx.
And they beat one of the best starters in baseball when our guy didn’t even get through 4
Wouldn't this be something for Mayo to come thru here???
He did! Cowser got a great read to score on that.
Drops that right in there. And how about Cowser !!
As you wish
Westy wow! They might even think about keeping this guy in for the ninth. Blewett just did the opposite!
The rest of the bullpen could really use it.
Give Blewett another inning? He looked pretty darn good.
I had the same thought at the time.
Lets blow this game open and find out!!
We've seen Judge catch a ball like that so much, I was pretty sure he would get that one. Nope!
Play that Franki Valli!
Big outing for Blewett.
Well done sir!
Three up Three down! Nice!!
Time for runs!!
Oh man, no pinch hit there!

Not really. He was brought here for his defense.
We do have 3 other guys on the roster who can play short.
All lefties on the bench. Hindsight says we should have PH anyway
Should have hit Gunnar.
Agree
The ole 8-hopper did not get him!
Fried is at 88 pitches thru 5. His season most is 106 and he has thrown 100 or more in 6 of his 15 starts.
Jeez, these injuries.
O's say ----
OF Dylan Beavers was removed from the Triple-A Norfolk game with a left shoulder injury after colliding with another player in the outfield.
Wonder if thats the same shoulder he injured runnng into the wall during batting practice a few weeks back
O's tweet with the Laureano highlight.

Incredible throw by Laureano. Still have not seen an angle where he is safe.
Call stands, they got a break. In NY!
Yep, Judge can hit a fastball down the middle.
Better in the second and nice play there on the weird hop at first by Mayo.
